Mining Engineer, was Senior Vice-President – Technical Services, Interim Chief Operating Officer and Vice-President Operations – Mine General Manager at Detour Gold, also had senior operating positions at Barrick and Placer Dome.
Brian Jennings, CPA, CA, BSc Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Jennings is a Chartered Accountant and geologist with 30 years of experience working as a senior financial executive and corporate restructuring professional. He is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Veta Resources Inc. which is focused on gold exploration in Southern Chile. Mr. Jennings also spent nine years with Ernst & Young, where he was Vice-President Corporate Restructuring.
Mauro Bassotti Vice President, Geology
Mr. Bassotti brings over 24 years of diverse international and domestic experience with open pit and underground mines in gold, copper and other base metals. Mauro has extensive leadership experience in brownfield and capital drilling, all aspects of operational geological site functions, and technical services. Mauro has successfully delivered projects from exploration drilling to delineation drilling, identifying additional indicated mineral resources and inferred mineral resources at a number of projects.
Most recently Mauro was Senior Director Geology of Ma’aden Mining; Gold and Base Metals in Riyadh, KSA, where he was responsible for the Corporate Guidance and direction of the Geological group. Previously, Mauro was the Director Resources and Reserves for Detour Gold based Toronto, with operations in Cochrane Ontario. Mauro was responsible for the resources and reserves component of the life of mine plan, and the technical services function. Mauro also has gained international experience with New Gold, Barrick Gold, and Placer Dome, across Asia Pacific, Africa, Australia, and Canada. Mauro has been recognized as the Qualified Person under N143-101 and other reporting requirements. Mauro graduated from James Cook University with a BSc. and a BSc Hon. in 1998.
Adam Segal General Counsel
Adam Segal has over 20 years of legal and business experience working with public mining companies in project exploration, development and operations. Mr. Segal spent ten years in the legal group at Sherritt International, and was most recently Vice President of Corporate Development. Prior to Sherritt he practiced law at Borden Ladner Gervais LLP.
Ruben Wallin Vice President, Sustainability
Mr. Wallin is an environment and sustainability professional with more than 30 years of experience in the global mining industry. He has broad corporate and operational management experience in the areas of environment, health and safety, community relations, government relations, permitting and tailings management. Mr. Wallin has worked extensively throughout the Americas and Africa during his career and is experienced in current global industry standards and best practices. In Canada, he has been involved in the successful operation of the Detour Lake Mine, the Canadian Malartic Mine and the Victor Mine. Before joining Generation Mining Mr. Wallin was with McEwen Mining where he was the Vice President, Sustainability, Mr. Wallin held the position of Vice President of Environment and Sustainability for Detour Gold Corporation.
Ann Wilkinson Vice President, Investor Relations
Ms. Wilkinson is a seasoned investor relations executive who has worked with both base and precious metals producers and developers including Gold Resource Corporation, TMAC Resources, GoldQuest Mining, Orvana Minerals and Breakwater Resources, amongst others. Ms. Wilkinson has been responsible for the development and execution of investor relations strategy; representing public companies in their respective relationships with the investment community and acting as a public spokesperson. Ms Wilkinson holds a Bachelor of Arts, Economics from Western University in London, Ontario, Canada and a Business Foundations Specialization from The Wharton School.
